Music Mountain Compost has been helping Vermonters keep food waste out of landfills since 2020. Now, after six years of providing reliable composting services, we are expanding to offer residential trash and recycling pickup. Based in Chittenden, Vermont, we provide weekly and biweekly service using 96-gallon containers. Biweekly trash and recycling pickup is $38 per month, while weekly service is $58 per month. Compost pickup can be added to either plan for just $20 per month. We also offer standalone residential compost service, which includes a five-gallon bucket and biweekly pickup for $22 per month. Commercial compost and waste services are available as well, with customized rates provided upon request.
Since July 1, 2020, Music Mountain Compost has diverted more than five million pounds of food waste from landfills. All collected food scraps are processed at our local facility and transformed into nutrient-rich soil. We take pride in offering a simple, affordable, environmentally responsible waste solution from a locally owned Vermont business.
